2012 President Satoru Suetake Greetings

　Public interest incorporated association Gifu Junior Chamber is the organization of young businesspersons who are developing the campaign "Building Human Resources and Community" in pursuit of "Bright, Wealthy Society" in the region around Gifu City. Gifu Junior Chamber aims at the creation of a sustainable, energetic community by proactively working in a variety of fields such as policy proposals, leadership development, youth development, and revitalization of the city center. Our members are also trying to improve their qualifications as young businesspersons by getting involved in all the processes from business planning to implementation in social contribution activities.

　With many attractive features such as the living environment full of history, culture and nature, community Gifu greatly benefits our daily lives. We should not forget these benefits derived from local attractive features and we should express our gratitude to our predecessors having contributed to building them. I believe that, we are responsible for having a strong sense to create our own community, having every citizen discipline himself/herself, creating new attractiveness by cooperating with people in the region, and carefully passing the attractive community to the next generation.

　This year we will be engaged in fostering proactively "self-sustaining citizens" who are aware that nothing will change without their voluntary participation and bring results in cooperation with other people around. We are going to work together with people in the region so that we could create the image we can be proud of, that is, "self-sustaining community Gifu," with every citizen participating in the creation of new attractive features.

　Meanwhile, last year Gifu Junior Chamber acquired the status as a public interest incorporated association. Reminded anew of our responsibility as a public body, we will step up our activities that will have direct influence on the region. Specifically, we will present our future action guidelines by looking back on results and issues in our past activities, designing what our community should be in the future, and preparing a new "vision for community development campaign."

　Our activities for as long as 61 years since founded are attributed to the understanding and cooperation of many people of the administration, relevant bodies, citizens and predecessors.

　We are committed to strive for realization of "Bright, Wealthy Society," thanking for your support to our activities and with awareness and responsibility as a change agent.
